Short version: We store your email and subscription status. We do not store the articles you analyze or any AI-generated analysis. Article text is processed in memory and discarded immediately.
When you steelman a page, the extension sends the page text to our backend server. The server forwards it to a third-party AI provider for processing, receives the response, and returns it to your browser. We do not save the text or the response at any point in this pipeline.
Our backend uses a third-party AI API to generate analysis. That provider's privacy policy governs how they handle requests. We use them as a data processor under appropriate data processing terms.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store payment card details. Stripe shares subscription status with us via webhooks so we can manage your account.
Account and subscription data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the EU or US depending on your region. Usage counters are stored in Upstash Redis with a 24-hour TTL.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your account within 14 days. Stripe may retain billing records per their own retention policies.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice in the extension.
